How and Why We Are Set Apart

Posted by Emily on Oct 21st 2025

Hi, and thanks for coming!

I hope you've had chance to browse our site, so it's probably a good time to address a question that has come up on occasions:

"Why can't your prices can't match those on Amazon and some large manufacturers?"

The answer is simple: when you buy from us, you’re getting something entirely different. Let me explain…

When creating high-quality, small-batch products, every step matters - and that’s why we can’t be compare to mass-produced alternatives.
Here are some factors to consider:

1. Organic or wildcrafted - always.
Everything we offer (where applicable) is organic / wildcrafted / pasture-raised. Sourcing these is no easy feat. We get ingredients from trusted suppliers all around the world and often pay a much higher price in order to not compromise. Please don't ask me to compromise! Because I never will.

2. Not All Organic Is Created Equal
An organic sticker alone doesn't tell the whole story. Every supplier is researched; their practices, ethics and sustainability, to make sure they align with our high values. This is the single most time-consuming aspects of the job, but it's absolutely worth it. And, again, there won't be any compromise on this.

3. Extraction That Takes Time (and patience)
Unlike the manufacturers who rush the extraction process in just a few hours or days, our extracts take from 3-9 months or significantly longer when it comes to the likes of fire cider, etc.
That unique flavour doesn't develop overnight!
This longer extraction times means that the end product is as strong as possible and the consumer often needs to significantly less to achieve desired results.

4. A Better Deal Than You Think
When it comes to capsules, we offer no less than 90 in a bottle and they're size 00. Compare with many other brands and you're actually getting a fantastic deal. .
For instance, my 6-magnesium complex has 90 x 00 capsules for $35. There is a very popular company that also sells their similar magnesium complex for $35. But they only have 30 capsules...and theirs is size 2, which is roughly half the size of ours!

5. Small Batches, Big Heart
Herbs of Love is not a larger manufacturer churning our thousands of products per hour. Everything is made in small batches with care, using hands-on processes that take time. There is no $20'000 equipment in our lab to achieve ultra-high volumes in record time. Maybe some day...

6. No Bulk Discounts Here!
We don't buy 100'000 bottles at once to get bulk pricing. Instead, just enough is purchased to meet demands.

7. Labels Take Time, Too...
See those fancy labels? They're not churned out non-creatively by AI, there's a Lot of time and effort that goes into them! If I'm super focused and inspired and everything is just clicking, I can perhaps do one in a day. But some take up to 3 full days! Then there is the additional factor of taking good photos, website updates and everything else that goes on behind the scenes.

8. Personalised Support
I spend a tonne of time talking to people, offering advice, making personalised recommendations, creating unique blends...and I probably give away more than I should, but that is what I love to do.
9. Excellence Over Cheap
My family deserves to thrive, as does yours, not just scrape by. That is why there is a heavy focus on delivering excellence instead of cutting costs to be the cheapest option. There are a plethora of the cheapest suppliers out there - they are a dime a dozen. Our mission is to offer excellence over cheap whilst always working to improve quality.

10. The Freshest Ingredients Every Time
We use the freshest and purest ingredients that can be sourced and they're often prepared in-house.
For example, the B:Plant contains sprouted chickpeas and sprouted apricot kernels. These must be soaked, washed multiple times per day, kept in a contained environment with the appropriate air-flow and temperature. Then, once sprouted, they are dried and ground. It's a meticulous process that requires almost constant monitoring.

The herbs and spices are also ground in-house where possible, some require special equipment as they are extremely hard or, like the hops, they are very oily. The reason they aren't purchased powdered is that plant materials lose potency much quicker and there is no telling how long they have been sitting before purchase.

These many steps require extra time and they cost significantly more, but it ensures that we can offer the highest quality products that you will hardly find anywhere else.

So now you know!

Thanks for reading and taking the time to learn more about what goes into every product offered. It means so much to have your support! ??
